St. Maarten - St. Martin has several nude beaches. The island has a fairly relaxed attitude towards beach nudity. The island is the leading Caribbean destination for nudists, with Orient Beach an officially sanctioned clothing optional beach. There are even trips with catamaran charter boats for the nudist crowd, bringing the sunseekers to uninhabited islands off-shore.
Topless sunbathing is the norm almost everywhere, except at some resorts catering to a mostly conservative American clientele.

Even though Dutch St. Maarten side doesn't advertise 'official' nude beaches, Cupecoy Beach has been for decades the Dutch side clothing optional spot. There are numerous remote beaches, where nobody will complain if you swim in the buff.
On the French side, there are many empty beaches and visitors can dress or undress as they please - again, nobody really cares - no matter what official publications state. Safe 'nude' spots besides Orient Beach are Baie Rouge and Happy Bay next to Friars Bay. Also, the uninhabited island of Tintamarre - about 2 miles offshore and a popular destination for day charter boats - seems to bring out the hidden nudist in everyone.
Sadly, the once famous Club Orient has been destroyed by the hurricane in 2017. There are sings of progress that Club O will be rebuilt around 2026. There are a number of cozy private resorts nestled into the mountain side overlooking Orient Bay and in proximity to the island's most prominent nude beach.
St. Martin Sotheby's Realty has published an article about St. Maarten nude beaches on their website, with valuable information. A private villa rental could be an attractive alternative to visits to a clothing optional beach. These villas offer complete privacy, swimming pools.
