The Simpson Bay Resort & Marina is one of the flagship vacation playgrounds of Dutch Sint Maarten. This large resort stretches over many acres and offers a variety of accommodations, all of them are suites with kitchens. The resort is located in the Pelican neighborhood adjacent to Simpson Bay and certainly one of the main reasons why this village has become the entertainment center of the island.
The rooms overlook the waters of Simpson Bay with the view stretching to the airport and the neighborhood of Beacon Hill. All units have been extensively rebuilt to the best standards and feature generous layouts, modern conveniences, and tasteful interior design. Several swimming pools are distributed among the buildings, and there is a semi-private beach for guests.
Activities such as catamaran trips or scuba diving excursions can be booked directly with AquaMania, headquartered at the resort and the largest water-activity provider of St. Maarten.
There are several restaurants and bars on-premises and a vast selection within walking distance. The Hollywood Casino is somewhat embedded into the resort property, but independently owned and operated. The popular nightspot Red Piano with nightly live-music and Isola Ristorante are next to the casino.
