The island of Sint Maarten is celebrating the return of cruise ships from ... Celebrity Cruises. One more step closer to pre-Corona normality.
Over the past months, our island has seen many cruise ships - but no passengers. The ships were docked here or anchored offshore just for maintenance. St. Maarten was the only island in the Northern Caribbean assisting the cruise lines to weather the Corona crisis.
It is a nice reward that the first cruises for Caribbean waters are now originating from St. Maarten.
The first cruise of 2020 will depart on Saturday, June 5th.
